Help people reach their favorite places by bike!
The Jeff Roth Cycling Foundation awarded Ride JC with a $1000 grant to install bike parking in Johnson City. We want to extend the impact by working with the community to raise funds for even more bike parking.
Select which location you would like to donate for. Funds will be used to work with the business to install bike parking. When that location is funded, the good doesn’t stop. All extra money goes into the bike parking fund to be used to install even more racks.
Why Bike Parking?

High-quality bike parking allows people to turn exercise or recreational riding into a trip with purpose.

Safe bike parking within 50 feet of the main entrance is correlated with an increase in cycling activity. It signals that bicycles are welcome here.

Business revenue is increased as cyclists tend to shop locally and more frequently. Cyclists also engage in Serial Shopping, or stopping at several stores close by rather than businesses outside of town.

Encouraging biking leads to less carbon emissions from car use. Drivers enjoy less congestion as people who will bike stop driving in the communities.

Bike Parking saves space in tight urban areas by allowing 10 bikes to park in the same space as 1 car.

Bike parking is cheap! A traditional parking spot costs around $10,000. For $200, 2 bikes can be parked. That’s 50 bikes parked for 1 car!
