Founded in 2023, Ride JC works with our communities to encourage options in how we get around for working, shopping, and playing. We are situated in the Appalachian Highlands and focus on Johnson City, Kingsport, Bristol, Greeneville, and other communities in the area. We understand that options in multimodal transportation allow people to travel the region while reducing congestion, improving the environment, and helping our health.

Throughout our work, we employ three core pillars:

• Community: We work to build communities for all people through events like group rides, park days, and bike clinics.


• Education: We educate through discussions, classes, and publications. Through guiding such activities and providing resources, we inform others about the benefits of different transportation methods.


• Policy: Finally, we work with governments through policy to provide infrastructure and ordinances that support every person in their efforts to travel.
